Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated “visiting” travellers to Nigeria must adhere to the self-isolation period. Please consider reviewing your travel plans to ensure that you can adhere to the self-isolation guidelines, such as extending your travel time.
For short trips, you may consider virtual meeting options while you are in self- isolation

Yes, you can carry out a test at your state of residence if there is an accredited private laboratory in the state on the payment portal. If there is no private laboratory in your state of final destination, the laboratory you have chosen for your test during registration will make arrangements to have your sample taken at a designated site
The Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 and NCDC are urgently working with all states to create a mechanism for private testing. Please see list of accredited private laboratories on the NCDC COVID-19 website: https://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng/privatelabs/
Only unvaccinated and partially vaccinated passengers are required to conduct a pre-boarding COVID-19 PCR test. The test MUST be done within 48 hours before departure. Tests done more than 48 hours before departure are not valid and persons will not be allowed to board.
Please note that tests other than PCR tests for COVID-19 (such as rapid diagnostic IgG/IgM or antigen tests) are not acceptable.
Our goal is to ensure that the resumption of international travel in Nigeria does not lead to an influx of COVID-19 cases.
The post-arrival test is carried out to cover any risk of infection that may have occured between your pre-departure test and date of travel as well as during the flight and on arrival.
Registration and payment for this test is required before travel to Nigeria. However, in exceptional cases when payment is not possible before travel, payment for post- arrival test can be done on arrival, at the airport. This may cause delays to travelers.
For fully vaccinated travellers i.e. completed doses of either Astra Zeneca, Pfizer or Moderna vaccines; OR a single dose of Johnson and Johnson, a post-arrival test is not required.
For unvaccinated travellers i.e. no dose of the vaccine has been received or partially vaccinated travellers i.e. only one dose of either Astra Zeneca, Pfizer or Moderna vaccines has been received, the post-arrival COVID-19 PCR test should be done on the 2nd and 7th days after arrival.
You are required to contact the private laboratory you selected (and made payment to) during online registration via the Nigeria International Travel Portal, to schedule an appointment.
However, if you develop symptoms of COVID-19 while in self-isolation, please contact your state emergency helpline here or the NCDC toll-free number 6232 immediately.
The pre-boarding COVID-19 PCR test MUST be within 48 hours pre-departure. Remember to maintain strict physical distancing and respiratory hygiene standards during your layover.
Like fully vaccinated adults, children below the age of 18 years will not be required to conduct pre-arrival or post-arrival PCR tests..

This depends on the country you are travelling to, as countries have different entry requirements. Kindly check with the embassy of the country you intend to travel.
